Animal Action Train and RescueCategory: Dog TrainingAnimal Action has a holistic approach to dog training. If a person is mentally fit and at the same time relaxed, their ability to learn is maximised. Puppy training and adolescent dog training is similar. This can be achieved by scientifically sound methods which do not push, frighten and ihhibit learning. We use 3 new techniques, and holistic therapies to approach regular problems: House training Pulling Aggression/teritoriality/protectiveness Anxiety related problems excessive barking Seperation or home alone problems Car travel Jumping up Nipping Child and puppy problems New Puppy counselling Bad dog adolescent rehab problems Dog socialisation issues In home Pack problems etc Home visits are available where an assessment is carried out inside and outside the home. A progressive dog training plan is prepared parts demonstrated. In house Puppy Foundation lessons are regularly booked allowing a weeks notice and cover many previous points(nipping/soiling etc) plus dog communication, or body language, and the effects of diet on behaviour. These can be booked up for 12 days after the arrival of puppy, for new owners or those experiencing problems. It is highly preventative and aims at owning of a calm puppy. Often aggression appears suddenly and has many causes, maybe generic, or bullying because hes big and he/she can; or through a bad experience not dealt with; or learned from another dog; etc etc This problem will not magically dissapear and the intense course has been used ot good effect here, with owner participation and commitment ongoingly. The method must match the reason to an extent but generally a calm state needs adopting by both owner and dog. Our behaviourist will advise. Call for advice. Residential dog or puppy training is offered by Animal Action in some instances. Intense courses of 2-3 hours a day 5 days a week for 2-3 weeks are getting very popular and bookings for these will need 3 weeks notice. The dog is picked up and dropped off from your own house daily. (assessment cost is £30 taken off the cost of the course). Lifetime back up is offered by telephone and in person, here. ANIMAL ACTION participates wholheartedly in the rescue of hundreds of dogs per year, finding good short term fosterers and good forever homes.
