Dirty or skin problem?
My shepherd starting scratching all the time and he didn`t have fleas. I had him looked at by a friend of mine who works for a vet. She took a scraping in case it was mange cause he was losing fur to. Well it wasn`t mange so she gave me some antibiotics for him. After about a week he started throwing them up so I stopped. I started washin him more and his skin cleared up. He is hard for me to bathe because of my back. I`m a bad doggie mommy. lol Hes all better now. I felt bad though.

Well he may have gotten enough of the antibiotic to help it actually sounds like maybe something he got into or he may have even got bit by something and had a reaction sometimes those reactions can last quite awhile. Dry skin can also cause that type of reaction too. My dog did not have fleas but had been bit by some and actually lost the hair on her rump and tail it was horrible. Took a long time to clear up and the hair to grow back.

Maybe you could try a few drops of tea tree oil in his bath? Our little chihuahua is naturally a stinky little guy, and it helps him out a lot!

Did you bathe the dog yet? Has the infection started to clear up at all?

RE: Dirty or skin problem?
Hi
I read your problem. This is a common problem. It really sounds like topical allergic dermatitis, commonly cause by contact with an allergen.
While it is possible that she has developed a new Allergy to grass and pollen, its also possible that she is reacting to something that has changed in the house. are you using any new detergents, Carpet cleaners etc.
If it were diet, it would be all over her whole body. Since it is on her feet and belly it is something that she is touching.
Try to keep her inside as much as possible. Bathing her with any type of soap can dry out her skin and exacerbate the problem. For relief, try making a paste out of baking soda and water. Apply the paste while she is in the tub and let her relax in there for a while. Then rinse it off without soap.
Try to get an appointment with a different vet who will take you seriously.

Hi to all,

My dog always rush his body to the wall.
What is good SOAP or shampoo for his skin? Do you use any for your pet?

Hi
He could have some type of skin infection or anal gland leakage. other possibilities are ear infection or oral infection. best thing to do is take him to the vet

Like in human,Skin is the largest organ in your pet’s body. From the veterinary doctors bathing, medications or grooming based on the reason for skin problems as well as severity and frequency of symptoms.Excessive itching and scratching is the first symptom that can help you to understand that there is something wrong with your pet.

Genius is an immense capacity for taking trouble

Now these kinda problems are very common. However Pets that exhibit problems with their skin need to be seen by a veterinarian to determine the underlying cause of the problem, before it gets worse.
