Hairless Cats
I once knew a lady who use to breed some type of hairless cat which I can see being great for someone with allergies but is it really healthy for the cat? I thought an animals fur helped to regulate body temperature or something like that.

RE: Hairless Cats
I prefer long haired cats, personally. The hairless cats do not look like cats to me, they look like overgrown rats or something .. I'm not a fan of hairless cats!

RE: Hairless Cats
I would never have a hairless cat. I would think that they would have to be kept inside, especially in winter!

RE: Hairless Cats
I would never have a hairless cat, i love cats but some of these are not very cuddly and snuggly at all.

RE: Hairless Cats
I could not see myself giving a cuddle to a hairless cat, i guess they are a breed you either like or do not like.

These cats are very expensive. Personally I think they are rather ugly but they might be the only option for someone who is very allergic. Right now because of the price I think they are more of a status thing for people with money to show off.

RE: Hairless Cats
My kids love the idea of a hairless cat! They've seen pictures of them and yes, they do look a little like hell's minions! I'd think they'd have to be a house cat though with no fur to keep them warm in the winter, but being they're a breed, they probably have the metabolism for dealing with the no fur situation. I told them when they move out they can have whatever kind of cat they want...I prefer mine with fur!

I would imagine that, since the cat is bred to be hairless, the only problems would be keeping him warm in colder climates.

I wonder how these cats do with sweaters?
