Harnesses for Walking
One of our dogs used to be an absolute terror to walk. He would zig zag down the streets, smell everything, and pretty much choke himself out the entire time we walked. Well, we did some harness training with him, first using it in the house before walking, and it really worked like a charm!! Anyone else use the harness for walking?

Our Duke is like that sometimes, but he is getting better with age and experience. I haven't used a harness on him yet though, just his collar. He learned pretty quick not to choke himself though, but he still zig zags every now and then! He used to act insane though!!!

I need to try one my dog pulls me along and tends to try to go her own way at her own speed regardless of me. Thanks for the tip I may have to see if I have the same kind of luck.

Whe I had little dogs I used a harness. My shepherd drags whoever takes him for a walk. The harnesses are expensive for his size. I would think after choking himself a few times he would learn . nope .lol

Always! Started using them with my last three dogs. They are much healthier and safer for the dogs than just a leash. I love the harnesses.

Nope-- our dog is pretty good when walking- We just use a leash.
I'm glad you found something that works though!
