Training cats to get along
Does anyone have cats who don't like each other? How do you deal with that? Thankfully, mine get along great, although there was some hissing when #3 was first introduced. Friends of ours have two cats who silently hate each other but coexist in peace because they know the owners are strongly opposed to any fighting. Smile

We have two cats, mother and son. The mother does have a go at her son but I think she is just putting him in his place! If another cat appears on their patch they are always there to back each other up.

Yes- we have 2 adult cats that do not get along at all. 1 is leaving Sunday- it's sad but it will be a better life for her.
I would love to know how to get them to get along.

Yeah, I agree that it is not real fighting, the mom is just exercising her authority. She probably thinks her boy is still a kitten. Big Grin

Cats are social creatures, but it's not such a strong imperative that it will overcome all barriers. Cats can need help in seeing the advantages of living with other cats; even if they are only advantages that we have to create and nurture.

Whenever they start to fight get a water bottle and squirt them. Maybe eventually they'll learn? Lol Thankfully all of these get along here.
