how to introduce a new cat?
Hi everyone! I was wondering how to introduce a new cat to the two I already have. Any ideas?

RE: how to introduce a new cat?
Bringing home a new pet requires time, and patience. This period of adjustment is for ALL humans and pets in the household. Some pets may hide from the new pet while others might try to push it around. Pets may begin having behavior issues such as barking, bullying the new pet and being jealous of the newest addition. This behavior should go away within a week or two. If the animals in the home do not go back to normal behavior within a short time or if they become aggressive, you will have to look for another means of introducing them, and may need professional help at this time. Gradual introductions are important. The new pet should be kept separate from the other pets unless you or someone else is watching them. The new pet should be placed in its own area with toys, a blanket, and water. The new pet should not be placed in an area that is considered highly desirable by the other pets. Reward good behavior with small food treats and petting. Do not push the animals together if it is clear they are not wanting this. Repeat this together time with all pets, until you are sure everything is okay and every pet involved is calm while being in each others company.

All went smoothly, they're best friends now. They just sniffed around each other for a while, then they started playing, lol.

RE: how to introduce a new cat?
what i do is have the new cat in a cat cage when othe cats were around and let him out when others out then lgradually let them go together under supervision, the will be hisses ect and an odd swipe but they learn to cope unless its one of those cats that doesnt like other cats period and have to be an only cat, tho that said i have one that doesnt like other cats and often swipes at the other two we shout MITCH and he stops,
